By:Karen and Shirlyn: Area of triangles The formula of triangle is 1/2 x length x perpendicular height.Example the height is 10 and the base is 5 ,to find the area we take 1/2 x 10 x 5 =25
AREA OF TRIANGLES To find the of the aera of the triangle,we should use the formula 1/2x base x PERPENDICULAR height. We must use this formula because a triangle is half of a square or a rectangle.
If you want 2 find the area of a triangle, you must multiple the base with the height and most importantly multiple 1/2. It is because a triangle is half a square. okay? I always forget to multiple the 1/2 and I always get wrong!
To find the area of the triangle,it is always 1/2xbasexheight.To find the length(base) of the triangle, you must first use the area times two then divide by the height.
The height of a triangle is perpendicular to the base of a triangle. So,to find the area of the triangle,we must do this: 1/2 x base x perpendicular height. So, if the height is 10 cm and the base is 8 cm,the area of the triangle would be: 1/2 x 10 x 8 or 40 cm square.
If we want to find the area of triangles, we must always do it by 1/2 x base x height. The height must always be perpendicular to the base. We must mutiply 1/2 because a triangles is half a total area of a square.

ReplyDeletethis is the formula of how to find the area of a triangle:1/2 x length x breadth
I thought it was 1/2 x base x height or length x breadth*2?
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS THE CORRECT FORMULA GUYS!
ReplyDeleteFOR EXAMPLE, IF HEIGHT IS 5CM AND BASE IS 10CM,
TAKE 1/2 x 10 x 5=(10x5=50, 1/2 of 50 is 25)
ANSWER: 25CM SQUARE
This is the formula to find the area of a triangle:1/2 x base x perpendicular height

ReplyDeleteNo,it is base x PERPENDICULAR height then divide by half......
This is the correct fomula to find the area of triangle: 1/2 x base x perpendicular height
ReplyDeleteThe fomular to find out the area of a triangle is:
ReplyDelete1/2 x base x height
If you just x the area of the triangle without adding 1/2, you will get the area of a square or a rectangle.
To find the area of the triangle,we must do this: 1/2 x base x height
ReplyDeleteFor example,if the base of the triangle is 6cm,and the height of the triangle is 4cm.To find the area,we must do this:1/2 x 6 x 4
=12
Therefore, the answer is 12 cm square.

ReplyDeleteThe formular to find out the area of a triangle is:
ReplyDelete1/2 x base x perpendiclar height
eg.the base is 10cm and the height is 6cm so
1/2 x 10 x 6 =30cm square
We need to use 1/2 x base x perpendicular height because a triangle is 1/2 of a rectangle

when you find the height of a triangle from the base, the height must be perpendicular to the base.

ReplyDeleteThe formula for finding the area for a triangle is 1/2 x base x height
When you x a triangle to find out its area, you must add 1/2 like this:
ReplyDelete1
- x (base) x (height) = (answer)
2
We must use 1/2 in our multiplication for triangles because it is half of a square or a rectangle.
ReplyDeletedid you know that 1 plus 1 is 2?
ReplyDeleteExample :D
ReplyDelete- If the base of the triangle is 10cm and the height is 12cm , we do the math working like this : 1/2 x 10 x 12 and we can get the answer staight :D
- Jasmine Teo
example...1/2 x 6 (base) x 8 (height)
ReplyDelete=1/2 x (6x8)
=1/2 x 48
=24

ReplyDeleteto fing the area of the triangle,we must do
ReplyDeleteheightxbasex1/2
but be aware that base and height mustbe perpendicular

The height of a triangle is perpendicular to the base of a triangle.
ReplyDeleteSo,to find the area of the triangle,we must do this:
1/2 x base x perpendicular height.
So, if the height is 10 cm and the base is 8 cm,the area of the triangle would be:
1/2 x 10 x 8 or 40 cm square.
If we want to find the area of triangles, we must always do it by 1/2 x base x height. The height must always be perpendicular to the base. We must mutiply 1/2 because a triangles is half a total area of a square.
